Prayer Requests
Prayer:
*My friend Jake is still struggling with depression and anxiety. Lately, he's insisted that he doesn't have time to chat with me online. Please continue to pray for him.
*I haven't been able to make an appointment with the ID office in Macau yet. I should be able to do that in December, once I'm within 90 days of the expiry date for my Macau ID card. Please continue to pray for God's will to be done in the renewal process.
*Please pray for this month with a student living with me. Pray that she'll get a clear and realistic picture of life overseas, and that our time together will be a delightful encouragement to both of us!
*In December, I'll be sharing one Sunday morning at one of our churches in Macau. I want to encourage them in their current tightening environment. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide my words.
Praise:
*The Education Department here approved a summer camp with Huntington University for next summer. HU is working on the details and recruitment now. Thank you for praying! Please continue to pray for all of the details that will need to unfold in the next nine months.
*I've started a weekly discipleship study with my friends Adam and Susan. I'm thankful that they're willing to invest time in it. Pray that our conversations will be fruitful.
*As things are tense between our countries, I've really appreciated ways that friends here have gone out of their way to show me that our relationships are strong. My former colleagues from the Education Bureau recently invited me to join a hiking outing that they had, because they miss having me in their office so much. The teachers in my office at my private school shared a bonus that they received with me, even though I'm not officially part of their team (local and foreign teachers are in different administrative systems). I'm thankful for so many friends here who care so deeply about me.
