If you have a heart to share the love of Jesus with children, we would love to talk more with you about serving in New Cov Kids. 

Here are some volunteer opportunities:

Nursery

If cuddling and playing with infants and toddlers melts your heart, we have opportunities for you to share the love of Jesus with little ones and their families.

Preschool

Working with preschoolers is NEVER boring. Join an exciting team of adults who get to play while they serve. Jobs are available helping with Early Childhood Children’s Church and working in classrooms.

Elementary

Elementary students can do BIG things for Jesus! There is great joy in watching a child grow in their faith and trust in Jesus!

On Sundays: Elementary Children's Church meets during both services

• 9:00 AM service: K-2 grades meet in the Lodge; 3-5 grades meet in the Hangar 
• 10:30 AM service: K-5th meet in the Lodge

Serving opportunities for Sunday:

• Large Group Teachers - Share the Bible story and lesson with the group from the Gospel Project curriculum.
• Small Group Table Leaders - Lead students in discussions and activities.
• Tech Operators - Make sure the lights, videos, and mics work for everyone.

On Wednesdays: Go Groups are our Wednesday night discipleship groups for 3-5 graders. You can choose to help in one of four groups:

• Serve-It-Up (Care & Service): Help children practice the ways of Jesus as we explore careers, projects, and other creative ways Christians love and serve our neighbors, our community, and our church family. Serve It Up enjoys lots of special guest speakers, field trips, service opportunities, and a year-end building project.
• Power-It-Up (Tech Group): This Go Group is for kids who want to understand how to serve the church through technology. Help kids explore and learn the facets of video production, projection, editing, photography, audio technology, and lighting effects.
• Turn-It-Up (Worship Group): Help children understand the heart of worship as they develop leadership and presentation skills. The Turn-It-Up crew leads high-energy worship time during Sunday children's services and occasionally supports special events.
• Grow-It-Up (Leadership Development): Teach kids the basics of caring for younger children as well as the fundamentals of leading kids individually or in groups. Grow it Up kids get opportunities to practice at Parents’ Night Out events and occasionally Sunday morning children’s ministry.

Special Buddies

This ministry blesses kids with various special needs (behavioral, physical, emotional, sensory or intellectual), making it difficult for them to participate in a classroom or ministry setting without extra support. Volunteers are paired with a specific child and are committed to serving regularly to help the child integrate into ministry.

Special Buddies may be needed in NCBC Kids, Middle School or High School Ministries. If you want to provide consistent and patient care for these extraordinary kids, contact Loretta Bushlack at Loretta.Bushlack@ncbc.church

Bless others by helping them start off the day with a warm cup of coffee when they come to worship. Serving on the coffee team is a great way to extend hospitality to our guests and show love to our New Covenant family. 

It's a simple job that makes a big difference in helping someone feel welcome and loved. Volunteers are needed to come early on Sundays to make the coffee and then take care of putting coffee supplies away at the end of the morning. 

Do you have a heart for caring? Has someone come alongside you in the past and now you are ready to “pay it forward?” We have many ways to express love and care in our church family. Consider being on a team that:

• provides a ride
• provides a meal
• pray with someone on Sunday Morning
• contact individuals who are hospitalized
• visit someone homebound or in a care facility
• communicate with those who are experiencing grief/loss
• prepare, serve meals after a funeral
• provide meals for families of victims of homicide on the Meals Ministry Team
• assist with baptisms

Would you like to serve but can’t make a long-term commitment? We need you! Throughout the year, we have several short-term events that require big-time help – Fall Fest, summer camps, Promotion Sunday, and various conferences.

Help provide a warm welcome to everyone who comes into our parking lot, through our entrance doors, and into Sunday worship. A genuine spirit of caring helps prepare hearts to hear and respond to the Lord. We have four avenues of service.

• Parking - A team of men and women who serve outside in the parking lot. Team members say hello, give directions on where to park, provide assistance in getting out of the car, and even valet parking, if needed.
• Entrance doors - Greet one and all with a smile and give assistance, if needed.
• Worship Center doors - Welcome and assist in finding a seat, as needed.
• Connectors - Meander around the coffee station to meet people you do not know, and answer questions as needed. 

Global

Do you have a heart to serve far beyond your borders from right here at home? We have many avenues to connect with Global Partners.

• Connect with 1-3 Global Partners for prayer and encouragement 2-6 times a year.
• Show hospitality to a Global Partner when they come for a visit.
• Pray for our Global Partners - your name will be added to the distribution list to pray and respond to the partner updates that we receive.
  
  

NCBC Mission Team

Want more? Join the NCBC Mission Team. The team meets monthly to:

• Evaluate applications deciding who we support as Global Partners.
• Ensure we responsibly support our partners' health (emotionally, relationally, financially, vision, and physically.)
• Connects with our Global Partners 1-2 times a year.
• Host partners while in town.
• Provide opportunities for congregational engagement
• Oversees events and short-term mission trips.

It's exciting to help high school students know and follow Jesus. We welcome people who desire to see high school students grow in their faith!

Wednesday Night Adult Leader
Wednesday Night Adult Leaders seek to build Christ-centered relationships with students. Leaders are caring friends, role models, and teachers who are hands-on in a student's life. It’s here volunteers participate alongside students in Wednesday night activities and by co-leading a discussion group. In addition to Wednesday Nights, we also encourage leaders to get together with students outside of Wednesday or Sunday activities (during school year). Summer months have periodic events and gatherings.

Small Group Leader
Small Group leaders facilitate small groups of same-gender students in a home during a night of the week. It's here Small Group leaders engage students relationally and foster life-giving conversations around biblical content.

Small Group Host
Small Group Hosts open up their homes for a small group to meet in during a night of the week.

Mentors
Mentors meet once a month with a student leader to facilitate discussion around assignments given and build a relationship with the student leader.

It’s exciting to be a part of helping students grow and mature in their faith through intentional discipleship. We welcome people who have a passion and desire to pour into Middle School students.

Leader
Middle School Leaders seek to build Christ-centered relationships with students. Leaders are caring friends, role models, and teachers who are hands-on in a student's life.

The primary role of a Leader takes place on Wednesday evening Refine Nights. It’s here volunteers participate alongside students in Refine Night activities and by co-leading a small group. In addition to Refine Nights, we also encourage Leaders to get together with students outside of Wednesday or Sunday activities.

Teaching Team
If you are gifted in biblically-centered teaching, we encourage you to use your gifting for Refine Night ministry. This can happen in two capacities: Teaching on stage and/or writing small group discussion questions. Members of the teaching team also contribute to the direction and focus of our lessons for the year.

This team incorporates hands-on involvement, training, and briefing from the Middle School Director.

Parent Team
The ready-to-go Parent Team assists in Middle School ministry as needs arise. Whether it is cleanup after an event, preparing a casserole, or even hopping in on a big trip, you’ll get to hear about it first and help if you can.

Here at New Covenant, we desire to create an engaging worship experience for our congregation, and we believe that audiovisual is one way that we can achieve this. Operate sound, screens, cameras, and lights to support what God is doing in and through our church. No experience required.

One of our six core values is excellence; we want to live and work in a way that inspires others and honors God. We view our tech teams as a part of the worship team, and as a part of the worship team, we not only desire to do tech, but to do it well. FOH Audio
Engineer Responsible for the audio mix at Front of House (FOH).

Broadcast Audio
Engineer Responsible for the audio mix being sent to our online campus.

Video Director
Responsible for the quality control of video presentation for in-house IMAG (Image Magnification) and video broadcast.

Video Switcher
Responsible for video switching for the Front of House (FOH) screens and broadcast feeds.

Camera Operator
Responsible for operating their assigned camera and following the guidance of the video switcher.

CG (Computer Graphics) Operator
Responsible for operating software that presents the support graphics for the service.

Lighting Operator
Responsible for operating the lighting console during the service.

Service Manager
Responsible for keeping band/speakers on schedule and monitoring our online services.

Preparing and serving communion, singing, playing instruments, and assisting with tech/AV are all a part of creating a meaningful worship time.
