Thankfulness

We hope you had as much fun as we did learning about the BIG IDEA THANKFULNESS, which we defined as, “Showing you’re glad for what you have,” with a big emphasis on SHOWING.

Poor Jim Socks was having quite the time restringing his racket. He kept saying “thanks,” but wasn’t really SHOWING it to his friends. It’s not enough to just make a list of things you are THANKFUL for like we often do at during Thanksgiving, it’s important to SHOW that you are THANKFUL.

Granny made a good point when she mentioned that both THANKFULNESS and STEWARDSHIP go hand in hand. If we are glad for what we have then we should show it and take good care of our things!

Have you all seen the Post-it notes at NCBC? It’s been fun to read about what everyone is THANKFUL for.

  • Freedom
  • Supportive parents
  • My husband’s job
  • God’s faithfulness
  • Children and grandchildren
  • ABFs
  • NCBC’s pastors

What have you read on the Post-it notes?

In our connection kit, every family received their own pack of Post-its to write their own THANKFULNESS notes. But don’t forget that once you decide what you are THANKFUL for, you need to do something to SHOW it!

Be sure to add this month’s discussion questions to your family discussion toolbox, so you can do something other than eat turkey around your table this month.
