Faith Build

The House that the Body of Christ Built.

Put on your work gloves— let's help build a home together, with our church family and with the Body of Christ in our city! We have a unique opportunity this spring to put God’s love into action by building a home for a local family. In a collaboration with Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent, churches in our area— including New Covenant— will each take a day to work on the home until it is finished. How exciting to serve together with churches throughout our community.

And we are not just building a house, but a home for a real family. A home they can call their own. Isaac, Nathalie, and their three children arrived in Cedar Rapids in 2015 after fleeing the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo. Isaac and Nathalie said, "Having your own home is freedom. We want to be able to welcome guests, and give the kids a place to play and grow." You will probably see them working alongside the volunteer teams on the job site. Read more about their story.
