Meet Tim & Brenda

We are part of a church-planting team. We desire to see a mature church established among the "M" people, who currently have no access to the gospel in their language. Our focus during our current stage of ministry is on becoming effective communicators and teachers - learning the language and culture to the point of adult-level fluency so that we can share the truth clearly and powerfully!

Prayer Requests

*The US will be re-evaluating the travel ban in September. Continue to pray with us that the US and Chad will be able to find a way forward so that the ban will be lifted.
*Pray that God will protect this community from the spread of cholera, and that God will protect our family and our teammates from severe illness. We are hopeful that we would be able to successfully treat cholera should it hit our family, but it’s a serious thing and we are not taking the threat lightly.
*Pray that God will continue to give us wisdom as we work on Bible translation. Pray especially that He will help our translation team to find good terms/phrases to use when there isn’t a clear Makanese equivalent for the original Hebrew/Greek word! It’s an ever-present challenge in translation.
*Pray that God will sustain us, fill us with joy, and show us what we ought to do each day.
