Money matters are on most of our minds in a different way today than they were a month ago. For a group of people in our New Covenant family who recently completed Financial Peace University, we’re celebrating some big wins.

It’s right to say that our trust is in God - not in our finances, our job, or in other people. Our hope is in Jesus! But it’s also true that sometimes we can feel like we’re working for money rather than putting our money to work for God's Kingdom. For 29 people who recently completed the nine-week Financial Peace University class, they’ve made a monumental shift:

Kent Jorgensen, the class coordinator/facilitator, said, “What a historic time in our nation to have your finances in order… to feel peace and stability because you have a plan in place!” As Dave Ramsey said, “Manage your money before it manages you!”

Financial Peace University is a course from Dave Ramsey that offers a stable, no-nonsense, time-honored plan. It’s a perfect blend of trusting God and managing our finances so we are prepared for what happens in the world around us.

One of the high school students who took FPU this year shared, "I found many principals to hold on to for the rest of my life. I feel equipped to make smart financial decisions moving forward, I also received access to resources that made the course even more worthwhile. Most of all FPU forced me to take a look in the mirror and analyze where my money has been going and how my lifestyle has not allowed me to be a good steward of God's gifts."

FPU makes the complicated, simple. God changes lives through FPU and we rejoice in all He did through this class!
