Small Groups at New Covenant

Small groups are how we "do life" at New Covenant Bible Church. We believe that real life transformation happens within the comfort and safety of a small, committed group of believers. We want our people to be committed to one another as they work together to become more like Christ.

Some small groups are brand new this year, while other small groups have been together for years. But regardless of the time, God so often uses small groups to do His work. We asked a few members of a New Covenant small group to share what God has done in their lives. They've been meeting together for the past three years. See what they're saying....

“Not only are we a group who can passionately study the Word together and push each other to be better spouses and parents, but we have fun together. We laugh together, we cry together. And when the others say they're praying for you, we know we’re truly being prayed for.” -Nate & Johanna

“It gives us a tight-knit community to grow in Christ, parenthood, marriage and our friendship. We love that everyone in our group brings something unique and special. It definitely feels like our second family.” -Darren & Moriah

“Our small group has been our lifeline. It has been a source of friendship, encouragement, and growth. It has held the people that have truly helped us make it through this last crazy year and a half and still feeling connected. We have learned about marriage and parenting and studied God’s Word. And we have gone on day trips, fishing trips, gone hiking together, and couples date nights as a group. This small group has been life-giving.” -Layne & Amber

“On top of everything that happened in 2020, each family in our small group had a baby; our group grew from six to 10 kids (plus one foster kid)! Navigating the transition through meals, playdates, prayer, and support has been helpful in the midst of so much change. Through it all, we continued to meet faithfully. Becoming spiritually mature happens in community, and being a member of a small group allows Hebrews 10:24-25 to happen: ‘And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.’” -Michael & Carly
