A Miracle In Mongu

This Christmas season, we are committed to continuing our support of The Zambia Project for the Mongu Cluster in Africa. Last year, through The Seed Company and The Zambia Project, we were able to fund two wells and a great deal of Bible translation. That helped put into motion work that we can continue to support.

“We are absolutely convinced that the local church is the hope of the world. God is so determined to see His Kingdom grow and to demonstrate His love to people,” said Matt Mackie, Zambia Project Operations Director. "This is what we are experiencing in Western Zambia!”

Matt continues, "A young boy in a very unreached area called Mambolomoka had a physical disability for years and was unable to walk. One of our local missionaries from Hope Church Mongu stopped to pray for him and he was miraculously healed. When his village witnessed this miracle, 70 people gave their life to Christ. This was the start of an incredible church in the area.”

"In the past, this area was unreached,” he points out, “but today we have 10 life-giving churches. It is our prayer that every person in Western Zambia is in walking distance of a church. John 10:10 tells us, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

While we don’t want to neglect the support of our own local church here in Cedar Rapids, we do want to be both generous and intentional in supporting what God is doing around the globe. You can make a special gift to The Zambia Project in the memo line of a check or on our website - there is a special designation on the Giving Page to contribute specifically to this holiday project at ncbc.church/givenow
