A Sacred Time

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us; And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him." 1 John 5:14-15

When God's people pray, we participate in His power! Earlier this year we began a Prayer Room on Sunday mornings. As a church family, we need to come before God to pray - to seek Him with all our heart, to cry out to Him to unify the body of Christ and to be at work in and through all the ministries at New Covenant Bible Church.

It's been a wonderful and transformational time. See what a few participants say of their time in the Prayer Room.

"I come to the prayer room on Sunday mornings because it is where I find much peace and hope...where I can protect my peace and release resentment...knowing my prayer journey is best made in the company of others, I can share joys and concerns and pray and be a part of something much bigger than myself!" Norm

"I meet with God directly as I pray with my church family and He softens my heart. It's a sacred time that can't be replicated any other time of the week as we pray in real time for hearts to change as ministry is happening throughout our church building." Johnse

"The prayer room has been a powerful place for me on Sunday mornings. God has put on my heart the need for becoming a praying church and I find such peace praying with other members. I have gained new friendships in the prayer room and there is no better way to get to know people than to pray with them. The Holy Spirit has come alive in that room and we try to pray for every room and activity going on throughout the morning. I have seen God answer prayers and some days the tears just flow from our eyes as we draw closer to Him." George

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”  Jeremiah 29:11-13
