Don’t fight a silent battle with mental illness!

A young pastor preached about depression, then killed himself. His widow wants to help others by talking about his struggle with mental illness. Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, panic attacks, or some other form of mental illness are not to be kept in the dark but are to be brought out into the light. Please read what his widow, Kayla Stoecklein, has to say in this article.

At New Covenant Bible Church, we offer a support group for family members or friends whose loved ones are struggling with mental illness. Our Supporting Loved Ones with Mental Illness group provides Christ-centered encouragement, support, and perspective. This group meets the second Thursday of the month at 6:00-7:30 PM in the Library at New Covenant Bible Church. All are welcome. Contact Deb Mehegan at 319-297-2366 or care@ncbc.church.
