Servant And Leadership Training
1st and 3rd Sunday Evenings beginning February 5 - May 7 | 6:30-8:30 PM
SALT, Servant And Leadership Training is a Middle School discipleship program. It offers a platform for students who wish to deepen their understanding and pursuit of Jesus and others.
Through SALT, students can learn and grow in what it means to lead others as a believer in their homes, schools, and even right here at New Covenant. SALT also comes with the challenge of commitment, and because of this, it’s not for everybody. It is for students who want to be there, so you’re expected to be engaged and present. Additionally, students who participate will be required to partake in two service projects throughout the year, meet with a mentor, and attend all* SALT gatherings.
SALT can be a highly rewarding experience for any student who seeks to take their walk with Jesus more seriously.
Where
We will meet as a group at Middle School Director Justin Fortune's home, located in SE Cedar Rapids.

Cost
$25. This covers a T-shirt and a special surprise.
*The spirit of SALT requires attendance at all meetings, however understandably there are unavoidable sicknesses, emergencies, and family/school conflicts. If there is a conflict that you know of in advance, please communicate it upfront.
A note on supervision, safety, and accountability
With lodging and activities, we adhere to a 1 to 10 ratio of engaged adults to students, and will not lodge or participate in activities outside of that ratio. Additionally, the director will not be counted in this ratio in the event of an emergency. Coarse joking and profane language will not be tolerated in any setting.
