April Family Expedition

Can you imagine a better time for your family to be praying for your neighbors!? Use the daily suggestions below, or better yet, call or text your neighbor and ask what you can pray for them!

Use these daily prayer prompts to pray as a family for your neighbors.

Mondays: Spiritual Growth

  • Pray for the spiritual growth of your neighborhood. Pray that people will turn to Jesus in these uncertain times.
  • Include... knowledge of God, obedience to God, unbelievers, new believers growing believers, idolatry, temptations.

Tuesdays: Health Issues

  • Pray for the health issues you know about in your neighborhood and those you don’t. Pray for people to stay healthy.
  • Don’t forget... alcoholism, eating disorders, cancer, pain, depression, heart disease, lack of medical care, etc.

Wednesdays: Marriages and Relationships

  • Pray for the marriages on your street specifically and the relationships happening in those households.
  • Also... abuse, divorce, estranged relationships, jealousy, singleness, faithfulness, love, forgiveness.

Thursdays: Finances

  • Pray for the financial state of your neighbors.
  • What about….bankruptcy, job seekers, job losses, generosity, materialism, gratitude.

Fridays: Elderly

  • Pray for the elderly members of your neighborhood—loneliness, dementia, Alzheimer’s, grieving, pain, widows and widowers, caregivers, faithfulness, keeping the faith.

Saturdays: Children

  • Pray for the children in your neighborhood.
  • Specifically… adoption, bullying, foster families, infertility, pregnancies, raising children, schooling, parenting

Sundays: Boldness

  • Pray for your family as you engage your neighbors.
  • Ask for…. boldness, creativity, compassion, kindness, joy, understanding, in step with the spirit.
