Ronda Tannous, a young adult in our student ministry, was losing hope. For about six months she had been struggling with health issues - seizures, heart problems, struggling to make it out of bed some mornings, and unable to sleep. She was losing hope in her future.

One day, she talked to High School/College Pastor Dusty Jones about her struggles. Ronda said, “Dusty mentioned the verse in James about elders praying for healing. I figured there was nothing to lose. I met with the elders and was prayed for and I remember that immediately after t my brain felt so different. At first, I thought it was in my head, but as soon as I left the room, I remember gaining a huge amount of clarity about healing. I truly felt that I was healed. I remember bawling and I couldn’t stop thanking God.”

The next day Ronda had a doctor’s appointment and her tests shocked the doctor. He said things were extremely better, something he was not expecting at all. “At this point, I still struggle with the anxiety that came from those months,” explained Ronda, “but I have not had a seizure since the prayer. It has been such a blessing. I was able to experience first-hand the true goodness of God and His healing hand."

"Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up..." James 5:14-15
