Ministry Training Academies help kids get closer to Jesus! In fact, MTAs change lives. 

Mady Fentress (pictured on the right) is a fourth-grader and is part of the MTA Turn It Up. Turn It Up helps children develop leadership skills in the area of worship. Mady said, "The daily devotions helped me get closer to Jesus. I liked having my own little time with God every day and sharing prayer time with all my friends. It helped me love my friends and family more when I prayed for them. When I led worship through Turn It Up, I liked seeing other kids connect with Jesus."

The Turn It Up MTA ministers during Sunday services, Family Experience, and special events. Mady could also be found leading worship at Day Camp this summer. Mady added, "Through serving in Turn It Up, I learned how to use microphones the proper way. It also helped me learn to be more diligent with my time and what I do every day.

The adults who serve in our MTAs are often blown away by what God is doing through MTAs. One of our former adult leaders said, "This past year was an amazing experience for me both personally and spiritually as I watched our Turn It Up kids grow in their faith and in their confidence. I must admit that I really had no idea what took place on Wednesday nights in Children's Ministries. This was an eye-opening experience. The few times I was able to sit down with the kids during 'devos,' I was simply shocked at the level of discourse, biblical knowledge and depth of prayer. God is most certainly moving through our MTAs."
