Days for Girls Workshops  | 1:00-4:00 PM
LAST Workshop Celebration |  Saturday, November 11
Meet in Room Y202/203

Days for Girls has been on an amazing adventure over the last five years. There has been so much joy and fellowship at the workshops and SO many kits placed in the hands of girls and women who now have menstrual coverage because of THIS TEAM! They have been such a blessing to girls and women around the world.

This Saturday, November 11 is the last NCBC workshop. Current leadership is moving on to other needs and areas in the Lord's kingdom. A CELEBRATION is planned with goodies as the last kits are packed for the Cedar Rapids Public Schools.

Local Needs & Joining Other Teams
In case you're wondering who will pick up the needs that this group has been providing, God will be providing for those needs through the Cedar Hills Days for Girls Chapter. Joan Mollenhauer and her team are ready to pick up the torch and carry on meeting the needs of the Cedar Rapids area.

We are very grateful to Joan and her team for all the support they have given the team over the last five years. Information will be available about the Cedar Hills Days for Girls, as well as the Marion Days for Girls Team, for those who would like to continue to serve Days for Girls. And if the Lord wills and a leader steps forward, NCBC DfG could possibly continue. If you cannot be at the last workshop, contact DaysforGirlsNCBC@gmail.com for information.

About Days for Girls

Every Girl. Everywhere. Period. Every day matters to her. Without a solution to manage her monthly cycle: 1 in 10 girls in Sub-Saharan Africa... 113 million adolescent girls in India... 30% of girls in rural Brazil... will miss 3-5 days of school this year. Around the world, girls and women resort to using rags, mattress stuffing, banana leaves, feathers, moss, and even cow dung to manage their menstruation. Resolving this issue is key to social change for women all over the world. The poverty cycle can be broken when girls stay in school.

Days for Girls provides:

  • A safe, beautiful, washable, and long-lasting alternative along with vital health education.
  • Reusable, washable menstrual care kits to allow girls to attend school, work, and live!
  • Kits to our Global Outreach Partners to use as a tool to bridge needs to provide the gospel.
  • Amazing kits for girls in our OWN city, too! Disposable products are a burden to those who are under-resourced!

What's in a Kit?

1 drawstring bag, 2 moisture barrier shields, 8 absorbent tri-fold liners, 1 waterproof transport bag, 1 washcloth, 2 pairs of panties, 1 travel-size soap, and 1 instruction sheet.
